Cultures and music

Over the years music has accompanied people in every part of this world. If we look back at traditional styles like European-American songs and dances we see that they passed from generation to generation as part of their tradition and culture over the years. Now its known as Blues/Jazz music and has spread all over the world! It has also been a way to express yourself and your feelings, your pride and your weakness. Back when black people were enslaved or prisoned they used music as a way of entertaining themselves, singing for freedom and for survival, that would fill them with some hope and encouragement. Every culture is different, therefore the music changes in every part of the world! For example African Americans have typical instruments that differ their sound and make it very particular, the banjo being a very popular instrument amongst this culture. As they developed Jazz music, instruments like keyboard, drums, guitar and saxophones were introduced. As music and technology developed over the years, new instruments were invented and therefore the sound changed. Traditional music is slowly dying out and is only strongly followed in very conservative countries were technology or progress has not yet reached. In the developed countries obviously technology is at is best and music is at the moment booming as charts and ratings classify new sounds that modern technologies have made possible to create.
